it-craig-groeschel1Craig Groeschel and LifeChurch.tv are doing so many awesome and super-cool things for the kingdom of God that I don’t know where to begin. I think I’ll take a shotgun approach:
(1) WATCH this, (2) READ this,
(3) BUY this.

In the WATCH link above, Craig talks about the importance of failing. “You TRY; You FAIL; You LEARN; You ADJUST.” The video is brilliantly done and extremely motivational.

The READ link is an excellent blog post on Missional Ministry. Craig seems to be echoing the sentiment of a generation desperate for more than a sermon. Be sure to read the comments and maybe post some of your own thoughts.

The BUY link is Craig’s newest book. I have to admit that I haven’t read it yet but I can promise you that it is on the top of my list. I ordered my copy earlier today.

I clicked on “Read” first and Kraig, I think you’ve been heading down this path with your first few posts. You know what the reputation of the Church (capital C) is, right? Judgmental. Watch popular culture for five minutes and you’ll see it. I think I know what you think the Church should represent. Powerful compassion, non-judgmentalism, charity, graciousness, social change and social movement. Who is best at social movement? The youth. But the youth hate judgmentalism. I know your thought is that if someone lives in Christ they reflect Christ because its just the way it works, so you are worried when you see what you wrote about in your “Missing Something” post. I would respectfully submit to you that acceptance is not going to magically transform someone into the living embodiment of what you seek your church to be – people still need direction, inspiration and examples. Otherwise, you wouldn’t need to preach!
